Dear Friend,
The Annapolis Valley Music Festival committee has planning well underway for the 2019 festival beginning Monday April 29, and we are again returning to the one week format culminating in Stars of the Festival concerts on May 5.
Our 2018 adjudicators universally expressed admiration for the skills and artistry of our young musicians in all disciplines, and we congratulate the teachers, parents and directors who have maintained such strong standards in our area. We’re proud of our music students, and privileged to provide a performance platform for them. Each year (now our 42nd!) we work for 10 months to produce the festival, and then have the joy of hearing wonderful music in an atmosphere of youthful exuberance. And each year we feel ourselves re-dedicated to preserving this important cultural and educational community event for our young people.
We ask for your assistance to help us achieve this. We rely on contributions from the community to fund the festival through donations and program/website advertising, as well as to provide volunteer support during the festival. These options are outlined at our website avmf.ca, where forms and contacts are available. As we continue to move toward a paperless office, we are offering you the opportunity to have your correspondence, submissions and receipts, and payments completed through email and e-transfer. Forms may be completed and forwarded to:

Annapolis Valley Music Festival Society

We have been using our website for the syllabus and forms for some years, and we now have an online program in addition to offering a print version. Having the program available online helps families plan their schedules and assists everyone in keeping up with the inevitable changes as the Festival nears. For our advertisers, it means that copy will be placed in both the electronic and print versions of the program.
Thank you for any support you can give the Festival. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information, and visit us at www.avmf.ca
Sincerely,
Kathleen Fuller
